Very nice on a bagel with a little bit of butter. The tomato flavour didn't stand out very much but I did remove the sardines from most of the tomato sauce. Some of the sardines came with tails still on, about half of them, which I personally don't prefer. But they were soft enough I could just remove them with the side of a fork. The spines weren't at all noticeable while eating.
